I was eating dinner on the patio of a local restaurant. There was a date occurring nearby. It could have been a first date, as the couple seemed to be getting to know each other, but they also had a relaxed attitude toward the conversation and each other that made think it wasn't.
They finished their meal while I was still eating and I saw them leave the restaurant. I watched them walk away up the sidewalk. Before I had much chance to think anything about what the rest of their evening holds, I see the guy come walking back down towards the restaurant. Did he forget something?
He's on the phone. She was really cool, man, I hear him saying.
Apparently their evening ended with him walking her back to her car. But they might see each other again.
