A new high school is being built just down the street from us, and they just announced the mascot and the colors. The Carrboro High School Jaguars will be purple, black and white. Even though my kids won’t go there for 6 and 8 years, they were excited about the announcement.
Principal Jeff Thomas said he was pleased with the selection. “It gives some thematic unity with the Chapel Hill Tigers and East Chapel Hill Wildcats,” he said, referring to the district’s two other high schools.
