My kids’ school has been gradually installing smartboards in the classrooms. These are the computer connected touch screens like they use on CNN. Peter told me that yesterday his 5th Grade class had a video interview with someone on their smartboard. The computer specialist called his dad in Florida and his video window came up. The class’s video window also came up on screen.
I asked Peter if he knew what technology they were using. He initially answered no. I asked him if it was Skype. “Oh I’ve heard of Skype. Yeah, it was Skype.” Very cool.
