The lighted snowflakes that line Franklin Street in Chapel Hill every holiday season have deteriorated to the point that they are no longer safe to hang. The Downtown Partnership is conducting a fundraising campaign to purchase new Snowflake decorations. The new flakes feature energy-efficient LEDs that cast a Carolina-bluish light.
