The fog hovering inches above the ground. Slashes of pink in the sky. A sliver
of a crescent moon. The smell of honeysuckle. The curve of porch railing.
The lobster was served on a plate piled high with popcorn. I was removing the
popcorn piece by piece because I didn’t think the two of them went together. I

read all the words on the package. Upon second glance, it said grass-fed beef

I remember when I started driving that I used to go to convenience stores to get
drinks and snacks. These were not gas stations. They were just convenience
stores. A Super Big Gulp
The first thing I saw was the real estate sign. It said Property Available. This
was in front of a long-time church. The small building sits near the corner of a
busy intersection.
