This Explanation is Really Necessary?

During a recent hotel stay I was reading the fire alarm details. I’ve only had to exit a hotel in the middle of the night due to a fire alarm once, but it was not fun. The sign hanging near the elevators described the sound of the fire alarm as “a continuous, loud, buzzing horn.” If I heard a sound that matched that description, of course I would recognize it as a fire alarm. What else could a hotel guest mistake that type of sound for?
