Suddenly, a Christmas Card

Nobody I know sends Christmas cards any more. This is not a subtle Christmas vs Holiday discussion. I don’t know the last time that I got a Christmas card. Sure, I’ve moved a bit in the past 3 years, but anyone who wanted my current address could easily send me an email asking for it. While I haven’t lived here the whole time, this is the tenth Christmas that I have owned my house. That means that in that time it has been my address or my tenants’ address. This year I got a Christmas card. It was addressed to the family I bought my house from. Ten years ago. What made the sender suddenly reach out this year with holiday greetings? And why was their address 10 years out of date?
