Specific Tasting Notes

It's easy to make fun of the flavors acribed to wine, especially when they are a bit too specific. I recently heard "the pith of a clementine." I wonder how different that is from the pith of a tangerine. I still don't know the difference between a clementine, a tangerine or a mandarin orange. I know that a pony is not a baby horse and a baby carrot is not really a baby carrot, so I'm going to assume that none of these things are baby oranges.
