Small Airport to Big Airport

As my regional jet taxied away from the terminal, I reflected on my first flight from my new home airport, Chattanooga. My plane was the only one there. The six gates were empty.

We landed in Charlotte, which has six terminals, the same number of gates I just left. And there were a huge number of planes of all sizes parked at the gates and on the taxiways.

I walked inside and was shocked by the crowds of people. I've been through Charlotte airport many times over the years, but compared to the nearly empty Chattanooga airport, this felt like another country.

While I don't know what my future travel plans will look like, I will definitely have to get use to the difference between these two airports.
