I used pomade in my hair. I never really knew what it was. And I still don't. The type on the can is too small for me to read even with reading glasses. It is waxy and it definitely held my hair in place better than anything I've ever used. But I think I used too much. See the part above where I couldn't read the instructions. This brand was founded in the 1920s.
