Lighting our Way

Deborah bought a handful of things from the previous owner of our house. She was 93 and the neighbors called her Miss Margaret. Several of the kids treated her like their grandmother and gave her Valentine's cards.

We have some of her nightlights and while we can literally see our way through the house with them, I think there is more to this. Miss Margaret could no longer live on her own and her son moved her to Nashville after selling her house to us.

She didn't want to go. She moved into this house on the mountain 20 years ago with her husband, who passed away 11 years ago. Her son didn't really give her a choice.

Six weeks after moving, and two weeks after we closed on her house, Miss Margaret passed away. And those nightlights show us the way to our new life in her house.
