Language of the Mind

As my mom’s condition changes—although she seems to be stabilizing lately—it is interesting what words and phrases come out of here mouth. A couple of examples from today’s zoom call:

She was telling a story and got interrupted, so lost her train of thought. She didn’t know what story she was telling and we encouraged her to make up a story. She said, my story is filled with joy and fantasy.

Free zoom calls have a time limit. A warning appears on screen with 10 minutes to go. In response to that notification, she said, we are running out of time.

Both of these statements when taken out of context have deeper, philosophical meaning beyond their literal meaning.
