The Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri has 1100 miles of coastline, which is more than California. The lake looks like a octopus with cilia on its tentacles. It is impossible to fathom the size of the lake when standing on the shore, and unless you’ve seen it on a map, it just doesn’t seem that big.
