Food stains, dead bugs, crumbs, strands of hair, receipts, spilled coffee, blood, dried flowers.
Sometimes if I’m the first one to check out a new book I feel the responsibility of keeping it clean. But I do wonder how closely others examine the stains. Sometimes a bug dies in a library book.
