During the Hollywood writers’ strike, Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly, self-financed this little internet project, Dr Horrible’s Sing Along Blog. This 3 part show is 42 minutes long, which is exactly the length of a network show with commercial time taken out. It stars Neil Patrick Harris, who will always be known as Doogie Howser. He sings his ways through life as an insecure, evil genius. The show has gotten mixed reviews, but I liked it. I don’t generally seek out musicals, but I even liked the songs. I will be curious to see what happens to this next.
