Ethan Hawke does a tremendous job bringing all of the animal characters to life in the audiobook of Dave Eggers' The Eyes and the Impossible, but his voicing of the first dog (not person) narrator makes you believe a dog is telling this story. The enthusiasm he brings to this performance, combined with a well-written, fully-realized character, helps answer the questions we have of our dogs: how do they see the world and what must they be thinking.
